The LSVT LOUD Training and Certification Course is a two-day program designed to train speech-language pathology professionals and students in an evidence-based, intensive treatment protocol for people with Parkinson’s disease. LSVT LOUD has application to adults and children with other neurological conditions and can be used across practice settings.

• Learn how driving amplitude, “Speak louder”, addresses the underlying motor sign of reduced amplitude of movement present in all people with Parkinson disease.
• Discover why an intensive and high effort mode of treatment delivery is necessary to effect change that 1) generalizes beyond the treatment room, 2) lasts over time, and 3) results in brain changes.
• Explore the sensory mismatch that causes people with PD to think they are speaking louder than they really are. Learn how to treat this loudness mismatch during therapy.
