Students enrolled in speech, physical therapy and occupational therapy programs are encouraged to get certified in LSVT LOUD or LSVT BIG. Why? There is a growing need for expert care for people with Parkinson disease as this population is expected to double by 2040. We need “all hands on deck”!
The LSVT Training and Certification Courses build upon the principles of neuroplasticity and motor learning taught in school, and provide practical instruction in this evidence based treatment approach, which students can then deliver during clinical experiences and/or as soon as they start working.
