Discover the scientific rationale and signature features of this evidence-based physiotherapy and occupational therapy treatment approach. The LSVT (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment) Programs for individuals with PD have been developed and researched over the past 20 years beginning with a focus on the speech motor system (LSVT LOUD®) and more recently have been extended to address limb motor systems (LSVT BIG). This presentation will: 1) briefly explain advances in neuroscience that have had a positive impact on the field of rehabilitation for individuals with PD, 2) describe development, data and key aspects of the efficacious physiotherapy and occupational therapy treatment LSVT BIG, and 3) provide details on the upcoming LSVT BIG Training and Certification Course coming to Birmingham, UK on March 23-24, 2019
