In 2017, Jimmy wowed the country after defying the odds and competing as an American Ninja Warrior while tackling Early Onset Parkinson’s disease. Participants will also be challenged to: educate themselves on how sleep and fatigue can be affected by Parkinson’s disease energize and see the many ways you can incorporate exercise, dance and creativity into your life empower themselves and their care partners through the use of effective communication techniques Registration is FREE, but required by September 13th. Lunch will be provided. Transportation will also be available for participants traveling from Northern Colorado (Ft. Collins & Loveland). Note your request to ride the bus with your registration.

It is a fun and inspiring fundraising event that unites families, friends, and communities both large and small in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. This celebration of movement will feature a family-friendly walk course, a kids area, a caregivers relaxation tent and a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance, Tai Chi, Pilates, etc. all proven to help manage the symptoms of PD. It is ‘A day to move, a day to move others, a day that moves YOU!’ About the Parkinson’s Foundation The Parkinson’s Foundation makes life better for people with Parkinson’s disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. Philly Rabbit Run – Shake It Off
The Philadelphia Zoo 3400 Girard Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, United StatesRun wild at the nation's oldest zoo on April 20, 2019 at the 6th Annual Philly Rabbit Run 5k race/1m walk at the Philadelphia Zoo to benefit Parkinson's Disease and to commemorate Parkinson's Awareness Month in April. Make tracks to the zoo and join Shake It Off, Inc. for their 6th Annual Philly Rabbit Run 5k run/1m walk. This event promises to be a wildly-awesome experience and fundraiser. Participants will enjoy an extraordinary opportunity to run inside the nation's oldest zoo’s 42 acres of lush gardens with more than 1200 rare/endangered animals before it is open to the public. For the serious runner, this is a USATF certified course and is chip-timed race, but also a great time for the leisurely walker. Come for the run, stay for the zoo!
