ASHFoundation Virtual 5K Run/Walk

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHFoundation) is excited to share some fun news. On Saturday, August 28, 2021 the ASHFoundation is hosting its second annual virtual 5k walk/run race.

What’s a virtual walk/run race? It’s a real 3.1 mile walk or run that you can do whenever and wherever you want on the day of the race - Saturday, August 28, 2021. It can be completed inside on a track or treadmill or outside in your neighborhood. You can walk or run with friends, family members, work colleagues or by yourself, any time of day. It’s all about supporting the ASHFoundation and having lots of fun and laughter along the way.

The 9th Annual e3 Conference will bring together individuals with Parkinson’s, their Care Partners and family members, as well as professionals who work with the Parkinson’s community to provide them with tips and tricks for living vibrant and healthy lives. This conference educates, empowers and energizes attendees through a number of topics which include exercise, self-efficacy, creativity, cognitive changes and more.

Understanding Lewy Body Dementia: The Role of the PT, OT, and SLP in Person Centered Care

Did you know Lewy Body Dementia (LBD) is the second most common form of neurodegenerative dementia after Alzheimer’s disease? Join us for this special webinar hosted by LSVT Global in collaboration with the Lewy Body Dementia Association in recognition of LBD Awareness Month. Learn more about this complex condition and how PT, OT and SLP can comprehensively address the needs of clients with LBD. Hear from a Movement Disorder Specialist who will provide an overview of the condition, followed by evidence-based treatment strategies for PTs, OTs and SLPs to promote successful person-centered care.
