Aware in Care Information Session: Helping Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease Say Safe While in the Hospital

Each year in the United States, nearly one-third of people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) will have a hospital encounter. The Parkinson’s Foundation Hospital Care Initiative aims to ensure that all people with PD are “Aware in Care,” meaning that they (1) understand the risks they may face in the hospital, (2) have the tools they need to play an active role in their care and (3) are heard, valued and respected throughout their hospitalization. Tune in for an interview with a Parkinson’s Foundation Aware in Care Ambassador to learn how people with PD, caregivers and healthcare professionals can all be “Aware in Care.”

Intended Audience: Individuals with Parkinson’s disease and their family members and caregivers, Healthcare professionals
