While LSVT BIG® was originally developed for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, its core principles may extend to other neurological populations, including children. This webinar explores how LSVT BIG principles - amplitude, effort, repetition, and task-specific practice - can support motor learning and function beyond Parkinson’s disease. Occupational therapist Erica Vitek highlights applications in stroke and Multiple sclerosis and places particular emphasis on pediatrics, using case examples to demonstrate individualized, meaningful treatment and clinical decision-making. Intended Audience: For physical and occupational therapy professionals and students – with or without LSVT BIG certification |

This one-hour webinar will explore how LSVT BIG and LSVT LOUD can serve as practical platforms for interprofessional education (IPE) among physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology students. Interprofessional education occurs when two or more professions learn about, from, and with each other to improve collaboration and outcomes, making it a strong fit for team-based learning around people with neurological diagnoses who often benefit from coordinated PT, OT, and SLP care. Using Parkinson’s disease and related neurologic presentations as an example, the session will show faculty how shared case-based learning, observation, simulation, lab activities, and coordinated treatment planning built around LSVT BIG and LSVT LOUD can enrich student understanding of collaborative care while also supporting program efforts to demonstrate interprofessional preparation expected within accreditation frameworks and professional standards. Intended Audience: Anyone involved in SLP, PT, or OT education: students, faculty members, clinical educators, and program administrators |
