LSVT Global Team Member Spotlight! Jenifer Bannon

Jenifer Bannon, Event & Online Group Coordinator

What do you do?:

As a motivated Event Coordinator, I organize our attendance at each outstanding and unforgettable conference we attend including: The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Annual Conference & Expo of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the World Parkinson’s Congress, and more.

I also coordinate day-to-day operations of our Online Group LSVT LOUD and LSVT BIG Training and Certification Courses. This allows me to communicate with faculty, students, and fellow LSVT colleagues globally to ensure all group participants are registered and that our materials arrive on time, to assist with any technical difficulties, and to provide excellent service from start to finish!

How long have you been with LSVT Global?:

I have been part of this team/family since 2016 and look forward to many more successful years together.

What is your favorite part of your job?:

My favorite part of my job is seeing the positive consistency of LSVT LOUD and LSVT BIG therapy and how it effects the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones. I truly enjoy all aspects of my work and the daily challenges it brings. Working so closely with the LSVT team has provided me with personal growth and a broader education. Attending our live professional conferences allows me to meet with current and future LSVT LOUD and LSVT BIG Clinicians and be there for them as they grow in their careers.

Tell us a little about yourself:

As a prior Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Corpsman, I served for 10 years and was stationed in Florida, Maryland, Mississippi and California. My greatest accomplishment in my first career was being an Oral Surgery Assistant and helping those who served have a greater quality of life.

I am the proud wife of (Ret.) United States Air Force veteran, Trevor Bannon; a mother to three boys, Tyler, 26 (US Army), Jacob, 23 (US Army, West Point Graduate attending Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences for his medical degree) and Jackson (7); a stepmother to two beautiful women, Tana (20) and Kylie (15); and honored to be a mother-in-law to my son Tyler’s wife, Kim, 23 (US Army). My family has a long history of serving in the military which makes the Army vs. Navy game day quite intense!

In our free time, my family and I love to go for hikes in Arizona. Sabino Canyon is my favorite, followed closely by Mount Lemmon. I also enjoy photography, playing board games and taking care of our pound puppy, Roxy.

Favorite quote, food, or pastime:

“There is a funny side to every situation, the challenge is to find it.”

“Remember, even broken crayons still color!”

“Jenifer is the definition of ‘dedication to excellence’ and ‘dependability’.  She manages a million details on a daily basis and makes it look effortless!  I admire her professionalism, positive attitude and strong work ethic that she brings to work each and every day.  Jenifer truly cares about people, and at the end of the day, that is what drives her to excel in everything she does.”
